Wine Magic

Wine Magic is an indescribable experience you create when you combine Fine Wine with great food and the enjoyable company of family, friends, or a significant other. Such an experience does not pop up spontaneously on its own but requires a degree of planning, education, and most importantly, the knowledge of fine wines to host such an event.

  1. True Fine Wines. True Fine Wines are not as easily obtained as you think. First, they are expensive to acquire by purchasing at retail, $100.00 per bottle, and more! The likelihood of the $6.99 bottle you purchase from the grocery store is likely not a fine wine. My research on the subject includes this article, which can shed some light for you. To learn more, you may enjoy this blog. True fine wines serve as a compliment and digestive for the foods we eat. No headaches or bloating, when consumed in moderation of course.
  2. Amazing Food Pairings with these True Fine Wines. Just as there are many differing tastes in food, there are different tastes with different types of wines. Red, White, light, bold heavy, sparkling, etc. Different wines pair well with different types of food based on food ingredients and spices. One of the benefits of our Wine of the Month Club is education on suitable food and spice pairings that you can try. As a result, you can plan and serve your Wine Magic event with confidence.
  3. Desired Company of your Loved Ones. Your options are limited only by your imagination. Special occasions, celebrations, holiday gatherings, or an intimate meal with that special person in your life may be perfect for creating Wine Magic events. Moments to be cherished forever.

Wine Magic creates a moment in time “Where Things Will Just Be Emotionally Different”. Don’t forget to arrange for the appropriate ambiance for the occasion. This further enhances the mood of the occasion.

Wine Magic is an indescribable experience you create when you combine Fine Wine with great food and the enjoyable company of family, friends, or a significant other.

First of all, let me be clear about the fact that I am not yet a wine connoisseur, nor a master of fine wine pairings with food. However, I am learning and discovering more and more about these through the suggestions and recommendations of my Online Community Associates. The following represents the results of numerous suggestions and recommendations. As I progress I will share the results of my Wine Magic experiences.

Follow your imagination about your presentation designs which may range from simple to elegant. You can set up charcuterie boards or individual plates (either prepared or buffet style). Each should include any combination and assortment of appetizers including cheeses, nuts, dried fruits, crackers, jams/jellies, chocolates, salty and savory meats, variations of honey, fresh berries, pickles, and vegetables. Then, if serving a meal, savory soups, salad and entree. All of these should offer differing tastes in terms of spices and garnishes that will complement the fine wines that are served.

You can then enjoy the food offerings with any of the True Fines Wines you are about to receive from our Incredible “True Fine Wines” Wine of the Month Club. It is recommended that you start with the lighter wines and progress to the heavier, more full-bodied wines, as follows:

  • Tanya Ricord Moscato or
  • Tanya Ricord Pinot Grigio.
  • More Than Muse Sauvignon Blanc
  • More Than Muse Chenin Blanc.
  • More Than Muse Chardonnay.
  • Nile Eddy Pinot Grigio,
  • Donna Walker Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • Linda Horn Cabernet Franc
  • Ricord Merlot.

As I mentioned on my Fine Wines Delivered to Your Door page, my experience dates back to when I was a graduate student and assistant Residence Education director for dormitory quadrangles on campus. Of my many and varied responsibilities included the planning, development, and scheduling of student events and programs. It was my suggestion to schedule a wine tasting conducted by one of the regional wine producers. The suggestion created wide appeal and was pursued. It proved to be so successful that we had to limit our capacity from several hundred students to fifty.

The fine wine tasting was scheduled between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Due to the timing of the event, several students volunteered to decorate our on-campus tasting venue in a Christmas motif. Their diligent efforts created an outstanding atmosphere for our event. In addition, since the event included fifty students from all parts of the campus, an exciting atmosphere ensued between students who didn’t even know or associate with each other.

Results of the Fine Wine Tasting – Wine Mafic, of Course:

Much to my surprise, the wine producer sent their head sommelier to coordinate the event, explaining the different characteristics of the six wines provided for the tasting. She also provided an assortment of seasoned breads and pastries to pair with the fine wines. The wine tasting was a smashing success with several students, including myself, developing an interest in fine wines. However, at $75.00 to $250.00 a bottle, we were all priced out of the market. That was some “barrier to entry” experience. However, with our Wine-Of-the-Month Club, I am working on pursuing the opportunity of acquiring fine wines to enjoy and pair with good foods. I will surely report my future experiences with fine wines and food pairings in future posts.
